Steve Overton

Grew up and graduated from High School in Kaycee, Wyoming. Went into the Army in 1974 and served in Germany with the 23rd Engineer Battalion (Combat), as a combat engineer, with the 3rd Armored Division defending the Fulda Gap. After getting out of the service, in 1978, I moved to Texas and am still here.

Started playing wargames in 1971. First wargame I ever played was AH Afrika Korps.

Started designing wargames and creating scenarios in 1979. Was working to produce a game with both GDW and West End Games when the board game community collapsed. Moved over to computer wargames. Founded Historic Scenario Design Group (HSG) and to create historically based scenarios for the Combat Mission computer game series. Helped to create a scenario designers work shop on The Proving Grounds.

Worked with Battle Front briefly on the Combat Mission 2 game series. Joined Black Hand Studios and the development team for Panzer Command Ostfront (PCO) and helped release that game. Joined On Target Simulations to help develop the Flash Point Campaigns game system.
